About Project 7X
Project 7X is a musical tour back through some of the most popular rock
classics of the 1970s. The combined effort of music veterans Scott Newton,
Steve Haraburda, Sam DeMarco and Vern Hammersmith results in a 3-hour
journey of classic 1970s songwriting from some of the top artists of the
era. The interpretation of the music by Project 7X remains true to the originals, yet
within a context that would fit-in seamlessly on today’s charts.
What can one expect at a Project 7X show? First of all, you will most likely
know every song. And if you grew up in the 1970s, you’ll undoubtedly find
yourself back in the presence of some old memories. And if you didn’t grow
up in the 70s, you’ll hear some classic airplay songs performed with a new
edge. Either way – you’ll probably find yourself singing along or jumping
around!
Laced with plenty of entertainment and spontaneous humor, the Project 7X
show begins in 1970 and progresses chronologically through the decade –
right up to the verge of the New Wave era that would dominate the early 1980s.
There are two different versions of the show. One time, you may see Project
7X at a festival in front of thousands – and the next time, it may be at
some intimate acoustic performance. Both are experiences you’ll want to
checkout.
